Grove Ley House

Architect: Neil Choudhury Architects

Another beautiful example of a patinated steel staircase in newly built contemporary detached residence in rural setting.
Folded treads and riser staircase, with 12mm thick steel plate balustrade to stair and around landing that has a chemically blackened and waxed finish.

All welds ground smooth and polished before blackening finish was applied.
Contrasts beautifully with exposed concrete walls and ceiling to give a totally natural feel.
