A stunning, beautifully designed helical staircase with classical features is the centre piece of this newly built house with glass covered atrium.
Highly polished Cararra marble treads and risers clad onto an 18 riser helical steel carriage 3.2M in height with over 200 degrees of rotation coupled with cantilevered first floor landing gives this bespoke staircase a unique listing. Both balustrades start with a proportionally sized raking volute on the first tread having a light stained Oak handrail with bespoke patinated steel spindles, combining decorative Chrome plated mirror polished inserts. Careful consideration was given to install balustrade support metalwork hidden below first floor to eliminate joints in curved marble edging. Decorative 1 metre long sections of balustrade can be seen positioned into 4No equally spaced recesses gives additional grandeur to the circular atrium. Spherical hanging descending lights follows the curved profile of the outer balustrade and reflects off spherical feature ball.
LED lights positioned under each stair tread nosing.
